When I go to tinker with another part of wordpress, and go back to options for the Featured Post, all the changes are not saved and its still in default settings. I am using WP3.3.1. I cleared cashe, logged in and out, same thing keeps happening. But weird thing is that the settings I make in Layout, and Ads gets saved. But not Featured Post, Primary and Secondary Menu. Any ideas? I haven't tried using responsive plugins with the theme so I couldn't tell you which would be better than others. I have fixed the issue. It was a permissions thing set on the sever side. Somehow my server reset my permissions. When that happened I could not make changes to the style sheet or see my scroller.
